Service Operator - Hydraulic

Job Description

Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will:

• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety meetings, and rig up and down HWO service line equipment.
• Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service.
• Assist in the running of a job, maintain general housekeeping, clean up, repair, and prepare equipment for the next job.
• Perform pre/post‑job HWO equipment inspections.
• Ensure safe crane and rigging operations during delivery of services in accordance with the customer’s design and KPIs.
• Operate high‑pressure fluid pumps and HWO support equipment (flow‑back package).
• Perform hydrostatic testing on Blow‑Out Prevention (BOP) during pre/post‑job procedures, including preventative maintenance (PMs).
• Operate counter‑balance winch and BOP console, operate HWO jack under supervision, mentor peers, and train Operator Assistants.
• Monitor well‑control parameters and calculations before and during job applications.
• Perform and complete preventative maintenance on all HWO‑associated equipment.
• Ensure that job tasks, when performed correctly, help contain costs, improve efficiency, and support profitability and operations.
• Drive a truck or other assigned equipment as required.

The candidate should have:

• High school diploma or equivalent education and at least 6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant II.
• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (may be required).
• Completion of essential math, the Red Book, and HWO I training.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Basic mathematical calculation skills.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and compliance with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Commitment to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines, and participation in the Quality Improvement Process.
