$65.11 – $73.20 per hour (Prevailing Wage – Davis-Bacon Project)

The Construction Laborer is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving building materials, machinery, and/or tools as necessary to appropriate locations. Works in a construction setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This position will ensure timely completion of fence panel installation and assist with concrete pour. The Construction Laborer is fast paced, result-oriented, and task oriented with a proactive work ethic and naturally meticulous organizational skills.

• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations as per project plans/specifications
• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones. Direct vehicle traffic.
• Shovel materials to and from construction areas
• Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment as needed, including those with trailers
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including disposing of waste materials and digging trenches
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders, and other tools as directed by management
• Report safety incidents immediately to Foreman, Safety Director, and/or HR manager

• Must be able to move quickly from one area to another
• Able to operate a vehicle
• Ability to obtain security clearances
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in:
• Operating hand and power tools
• Operating construction equipment
• Operating vehicles, including those with trailers
• Commercial fence installation is a plus
• Bollard installation
• Handling rebar
• Extensive concrete
• Safety practices on the job site
• Basic knowledge of modern construction principles
• Use a computer and a phone
• Use office equipment (e.g., fax, copy machine, scanner, etc.)
