Pay$65.11 – $73.20 per hour (Prevailing Wage – Davis-Bacon Project)
Job SummaryThe Construction Laborer is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving building materials, machinery, and/or tools as necessary to appropriate locations. Works in a construction setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This position will ensure timely completion of fence panel installation and assist with concrete pour. The Construction Laborer is fast paced, result-oriented, and task oriented with a proactive work ethic and naturally meticulous organizational skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations as per project plans/specifications
- Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones. Direct vehicle traffic.
- Shovel materials to and from construction areas
- Operate vehicles, tools, and equipment as needed, including those with trailers
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including disposing of waste materials and digging trenches
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders, and other tools as directed by management
- Report safety incidents immediately to Foreman, Safety Director, and/or HR manager
- Must be able to move quickly from one area to another
- Able to operate a vehicle
- Ability to obtain security clearances
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

- Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in:
- Operating hand and power tools
- Operating construction equipment
- Operating vehicles, including those with trailers
- Commercial fence installation is a plus
- Bollard installation
- Handling rebar
- Extensive concrete
- Safety practices on the job site
- Basic knowledge of modern construction principles
- Use a computer and a phone
- Use office equipment (e.g., fax, copy machine, scanner, etc.)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be able to work outside in inclement conditions and in mud, snow, and ice. The individual must be able to climb stairs and work in tight spots to perform the essential functions.
