We have the following full time opportunity at our King of Prussia, PA Center:

Billing Assistant

Main Purpose

Ø Responsible for keeping AR balances at a minimum

Ø Follow standards for accurate billing to insurance companies

Ø Follow up on outstanding claims (over 60 days)

Ø Correct payment processing verification

Ø Assist with end of month processing as well as during the month

Ø Continue to develop current billing processes

Core Responsibilities / Competencies

Ø Accountable for insurance calls with regards to outstanding claims using the AR and outstanding insurance report

Ø Process rejections with finalized claims and make any necessary calls with regards to inaccurate processed claims

Ø Assist patients with billing questions while exhibiting appropriate customer service skills

Ø Call patients to get necessary billing information in a timely manner

Ø Follow up with accounts without referrals

Ø Process transactions daily in monthly spreadsheet

Ø Balance out reports and payments for end of month and run all necessary reports for finance department

Ø Assist fellow employees with billing questions in a timely manner exhibiting customer service traits

Minimum Requirements

Ø HS diploma or its equivalent required; higher education, including medical billing training a plus

Ø 1+ years experience in medical billing

Ø Proficient on MS Office

Ø Experience with Nextech software billing system is a plus

Ø Excellent customer service skills

Ø Ability to work with minimal supervision
