Description:
APRN or PA-C for Outpatient Primary Care, under physician supervision, provides patient-focused care across the age spectrum with emphasis on preventive, acute and chronic disease management in outpatient settings.
- Performs physical examinations and assesses injuries or illnesses for pediatric through geriatric patients, including women’s health.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., routine laboratory, X-ray) as appropriate.
- Manages acute and chronic conditions both independently and in collaboration with physicians.
- Monitors patient progress and makes referrals to physicians or specialists as needed.
- Collaborates with physician supervisors and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and staff support.
- Maintains professional growth and demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Enthusiastic team player with strong medical decision-making and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adaptability to change.
- Commitment to delivering excellent patient-focused care.
- Master’s degree in nursing (FNP/APRN) or Physician Assistant studies.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical practice in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred.
- Experience treating patients of all ages with a variety of acute and chronic conditions is highly preferred.
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license.
- Current, valid DEA license.
- ANCC, AANP or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification.
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- 4- or 5‑day schedule, depending on practice location.
- Minimal call and holiday rotation.
- Transition-to-practice program benefit; clinical mentorship.
