Position Summary

:

MUPS
169D: 600 minutes individual tuition and group instruction (per semester) on a major instrument (Guzheng) for two semesters.

Qualifications –

Required:

Masters in Music or equivalent professional experience or post-secondary credential. A minimum of 3 years of professional performing experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.

Qualifications – Preferred: Guzheng performance

Qualifications – Discipline: Guzheng performance

Qualifications - Areas of Specialization: A minimum of 3 years of professional performing experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.

Qualifications - Asset:

  • Evidence of being a sought-after instructor, such as festival/competition clinician/adjudicator; guest masterclasses/workshops;
  • Evidence of student success (acceptance to university music programs, awards at competitions/festivals);
  • National/International performance profile as a soloist and/or collaborative and innovative interdisciplinary artist or composer-performer.
  • Salary: Hourly rate: $93.67 - $120.03
