Role Overview

The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end processing of client equity and cash transactions, ensuring accurate settlements, timely reconciliations, and strict adherence to regulatory and internal control standards.

This role plays a critical part in safeguarding client assets, maintaining portfolio accuracy, and supporting smooth coordination with brokerage firms, banks, and market infrastructure entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client equity and cash transactions, including account openings, share deposits and withdrawals, cash deposits and withdrawals, IPOs, capital increases, and corporate actions.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of shareholdings, cash balances, settlement accounts, and brokerage positions, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with brokerage firms, banks, Maqasa, and internal departments to ensure accurate execution and timely settlement of transactions.
  • Process dividends, trading surpluses and deficits, and handle special cases (e.g., deceased client portfolios) in accordance with regulatory and internal procedures.
  • Review market announcements and maintain updated records, including Sharia‑compliant equity lists as guided by the Sharia Board.
  • Prepare daily and periodic operational and financial reports for management review.
  • Ensure full compliance with CMA regulations, internal policies, and operational control frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in securities operations, settlement, brokerage operations, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets, settlement cycles, and cash management processes.
  • Experience working with market infrastructure entities (e.g., Maqasa, brokerage firms, banks).
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and structured approach to risk management.
  • Ability to work under deadline‑driven environments with strict cut-off times.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with trading or back‑office systems is preferred.
