Fleet Maintenance​/Mechanic

Job description

We are looking for a Fleet manager to join our team and help maintain our delivery fleet of over 40 vehicles in Kyle, Texas 78640. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing small to medium repair issues, and maintain our vehicles' performance and safety standards. Vehicles are on the road every day, and most maintenance will be handled early AM or in the evenings.

No billing or sales of jobs required. Potential to manage your own crew of apprentice mechanics and grow with the company's fleet requirements.

Tools, and vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and maintenance checks on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
• Diagnose and fix minor mechanical issues, including lights, back-up cameras, and VEDR (Vehicle Event Data Recorder) systems
• Order and replace parts as necessary, ensuring an adequate stock of essential components
• Collaborate with third-party mechanic shops for major repairs and ensure quality control of their work
• Perform in-house repairs, focusing on small repair tasks efficiently and effectively
• Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts replacements accurately and maintain organized records
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure vehicles are available and ready for daily delivery operations
• Roadside assistance calls as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a secure working environment
