Job Title: Cost Accountant (Manufacturing / Chemical Industry)Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or chemical manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for analyzing production costs, maintaining cost accounting systems, and supporting financial planning and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and hands‑on experience with inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis in a production setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead
- Perform cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights
- Monitor inventory transactions, including raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate bill of materials (BOM) and routing data
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability assessments
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support audits by providing cost-related documentation and analysis
