Job Function:
Primary Focus will be on designing & improving chemical processes, Operation Excellence Processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, & enhance product quality.
- Design & plan the layout of equipment for large-scale chemical manufacturing.
- Evaluate new chemical manufacturing relative to environmental & regulatory risks.
- Manage the continuous improvement activities across the facility.
- Build and manage multiple large-scale projects or kaizens at the same time.
- Implement, train, and coach Lean, 5S, VSM, Six Sigma improvement tools.
- Deliver projects with high ROIs into the manufacturing floor.
- Create cost effective methods for new and existing production processes.
- Mentor and develop Brunk engineers so they learn and can implement best in practice manufacturing processes.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work with colleagues both on and off the production floor.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead diverse teams in achieving project goals.
- Ability in training and mentoring for both Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical techniques with strong computer skills.
- High level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Project, JMP (or comparable Stats tool).
Education:
- BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar field.
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing preferably precision metal stamping, assembly and laser welding.
- Experience using manufacturing ERP systems.
- Molding and Tooling experience preferred.
- Work is in an office and manufacturing environment with noise and some grinding dust.
- Must be able to perform light lifting-50 lbs.
- Must wear proper PPE (protective shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.) and follow LOTO procedures.
