There is a CESR programme in place for those doctors who are interested in pursuing a CESR in Emergency Medicine to gain entry to the Specialist Register. Also offered is the opportunity to undertake quality improvement roles within the department to help gain exposure to management and develop individuals into experienced Speciality Doctors. There is an active programme of multi‑disciplinary teaching within the department that successful candidates will be expected to both attend and deliver.
We also take part in regular Journal Club meetings with Emergency Department staff from neighbouring Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust.
