Position: Horticulture Instructor for Machinery Operations
Help shape future horticulturists at Kwantlen Polytechnic University as a Part-Time Instructor in machinery operations and maintenance. Teach in-depth knowledge of equipment both safely and effectively on-site.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s School of Horticulture seeks a knowledgeable Contract Instructor for HORT 1118 and HORT 2432 courses at its Langley campus. This role requires a passion for teaching and significant industry experience, focusing on machinery operations, storage, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction on machinery usage and preventative care

• Organize field trips for hands-on learning opportunities

• Facilitate assessments and WHMIS Certification for students

• Offer input in routine course improvements

• Lead workshops for equipment management and safety

Requirements:

• At least five years of relevant experience in the landscape industry

• Landscape Horticulturist Red Seal or related certification favored

• Bachelor's degree related to horticulture preferred

• Experience in teaching or training is beneficial

• Strong organizational skills for educational field experiences
