Paint Line Operator (Automotive Manufacturing) - 1st Shift

The Paint Line Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the paint line to produce high-quality finished parts in accordance with specifications and work instructions. This role also provides support to the assembly area as needed, performing various assembly-related tasks to ensure production efficiency and continuity of workflow.

• Load and unload parts into CNC machines, specifically the paint line system.
• Operate paint line equipment to process and finish parts according to job instructions.
• Perform inspections of painted parts using gauges and visual checks.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate chemical levels within the paint system.
• Identify and report defective materials or issues to the supervisor or Quality team.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete required production logs and documentation.
• Verify paint quality by initialing production tickets.
• Ensure proper identification and handling of parts and containers.

• Assist in the assembly of components and finished goods.
• Perform basic assembly tasks such as fitting and fastening parts.
• Inspect assembled products for quality and function.
• Use hand tools and gauges as trained.
• Sort, pack, and stage parts as needed.
• Maintain part identification and labeling.
• Report defects to supervisors or Quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support team objectives as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety and MIOSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Participate in training and meetings.
• Follow all company Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Standards of Conduct policies.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Overtime may be required. Hours are on 1st Shift - 7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to read work instructions
• Knowledge of gauging and inspection
• Understanding of manufacturing environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
• Tolerance for heights and tight spaces
• Physical stamina for production work
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes. PPE required
