Van Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and pick orders in store for wholesale customers.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Operate the van professionally and safely, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Perform daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspection of vehicle and equipment.
• Process customer purchases accurately through the point of sale.
• Ensure security of assets, including cash, checks, and merchandise, following company policies.
• Receive and merchandise products, maintaining proper rotation, product quality, end‑cap and planogram execution, top‑stock, freezer, cooler, and back‑room organization.
• Provide additional assistance with store operations before or after completing the delivery route.

• At least one year of delivery driving experience; one year of customer service or related field experience (preferred).
• Unrestricted Standard Operators License.
• Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor‑vehicle report (MVR).
• Ability to use a two‑wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Require a letter of support from management if a candidate works for a Gordon Food Service customer.
