Job Summary
Responsible for supporting warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks including loading, unloading, order picking, shipping, and material handling. Ensures products are accurately prepared for pickup or delivery, secured for transport, and handled in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities- Loads, unloads, sorts, picks, stocks, stages, and transports materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Prepares items for shipment or customer pickup by securely packaging materials using shrink wrap, strapping, or other protective methods.
- Verifies product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping.
- Installs protective devices such as bracing or padding to prevent damage during transport.
- Opens material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Assists customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials.
- May drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials as needed.
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Required Qualifications- Confident with basic builder's math and geometry.
- Experience using a tape measurer.
- Experience with daily warehouse operations, including:
- Shipping and receiving
- Picking and staging customer orders
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Ability to perform and oversee daily cycle counts
- Strong attention to inventory accuracy and material organization
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely operate indoor forklift (Stand‑up).
- Ability to safely operate outdoor forklift (Sit‑Down).
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- On feet for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (50–75 lbs repeatedly).
- Handle steel, rebar bundles, and fabricated assemblies.
These traits add value, reduce training time, and support long‑term growth but are not required.
Desirable Core Warehouse & Fabrication Responsibilities- Ability to cut, bend, and tie rebar accurately and efficiently.
- Hands‑on experience with Rod chomper.
- Tabletop rebar bender.
- Cage rack and tie gun.
- Ability to fabricate rebar cages.
- Rebar mats.
- Custom bent bar orders.
- Strong understanding of fabrication tolerances, dimensions, and job specifications.
- Prior experience in concrete accessories, rebar fabrication, construction supply or building materials distribution.
- Familiarity with bar lists, shop drawings, contractor or DOT job requirements.
- Experience with inventory systems or basic ERP software.
- Scanners or digital picking systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep fabrication, inventory, and staging areas orderly.
- Anticipate material needs ahead of production.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑mix, low‑volume environment.
- Openness to occasional overtime during peak construction season.
- Shift priorities based on customer demand and production flow.
