Job SummarySupport the efforts of the Advancement Office by assisting with donor and alumni cultivation and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handle routine office inquiries from employees and students.
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance and responsibilities of the department.
- Perform clerical functions including answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Conduct background research, reconciliation of accounts, and maintain records on multiple databases.
- Update constituent records in database systems, Raiser's Edge and Anthology.
- Assist with gift processing (scanning, importing documentation, processing).
- Assist with planning and hosting special events on campus.
- Support bulk mailings.
- Enroll at least half‑time (6 credit hours per semester for undergraduates; 3 for graduates).
- Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduates.
- Have a current and complete file with Office of Financial Aid.
- Demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application annually.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non‑citizen with an alien registration number.
- Meet all other requirements of TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
- Proficiency in use of a personal computer workstation with common software applications.
- Ability to organize and multitask to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Outstanding customer‑service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship, and communication skills.
- Problem analysis and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to learn and use multiple software programs.

Other RequirementsPosition requires on‑campus, face‑to‑face interactions and maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus. Evening and weekend work may be required; schedules are based on departmental needs and will not conflict with class schedules. Promptly complete all required training, input hours worked daily, and submit a biweekly timesheet.
CompensationPay rate: $8.00 per hour for up to 19 hours weekly.
