Senior Civil Designer

Aiming to grow, we are looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join our Southern California or Las Vegas, NV office.

• Lead design efforts for the analysis of municipal infrastructure.
• Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical reports.
• Interact with clients to understand requirements and communicate technical information effectively; build and maintain client relationships.
• Lead the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D (or equivalent) to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with state codes and IMEG standards.
• Provide technical training, mentoring, and support in field issue resolution with limited senior staff assistance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; contribute to research and innovation within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance; interpret state and local design criteria and apply them to project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in project interviews and presentations.

• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software for design and analysis.
• Ability to train and mentor others in Civil Engineering software, including traffic analysis and pipe network modeling.
• Strong technical and analytical skills related to Civil Engineering.
• Superior training, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to perform final quality‑control checks in area of expertise.
• Strong client‑relationship development and sales skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
• Team‑collaboration skills and adaptability to new challenges.
• Attention to detail and robust problem‑solving ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or equivalent – 7 years of consulting experience required (8 preferred).
• Associate’s degree or certificate in Autodesk Civil 3D (or equivalent) – 11 years of consulting or construction experience required (12 preferred).

Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 (California); additional yearly bonuses and stock ownership options may apply.
