Raw Materials QA at Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6PJ
. Position type:
Permanent, Full-time.

Hours:

37.5 per week. Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630. Pay range: £25,487 per annum. Breaks: 30 minutes. Closing date: 12/06/2026.

• Support daily intake of raw materials, ensuring timely assessment and release from quality hold.
• Monitor held stock and prioritise efficient clearance.
• Carry out quality checks and testing (e.g. size, shelf life, viscosity, weight, and micro-sampling) to ensure materials meet required standards.
• Complete routine sampling to support food safety and due diligence requirements.
• Review results against specifications and Escalate any non‑conformances.
• Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to resolve quality issues.
• Assist with laboratory testing and continuous quality improvements.
• Maintain procedures and ensure compliance with food safety and warehouse standards.
• Support internal audits and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.

• Prior experience in a quality role within a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Strong proficiency in English and Mathematics.
• Knowledge of pest control, supported by relevant training.
• Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

• Level 3 HACCP certification.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Training in Segregation and Integrity.
• Experience with COP (Code of Practice) reviews.
• Proven track record in complaints reduction.
