About the team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed trade team that plays a central role in helping our vintage and antique products continue their reuse/recycle journey. The Trade Team ensures that each product is accurately categorised and fulfilled to our Trade Customers and plays an integral part of the revenue/commercial team.
About the role:As a Trade Assistant, you will support the day‑to‑day running of our Valley Mills operations. You will work across different categories, handling and moving items in the warehouse, organising stock, assisting with sorting bulk quantities of stock and allocating to the correct buyer to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. You will also keep the area’s general housekeeping up to standard.

- Build confidence in moving and organising stock efficiently
- Move, handle, and store stock safely across the warehouse
- Sort and organise items ready for trade (online and in‑person)
- Support stock categorisation and placement
- Prepare internal and external deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintain clear, accurate stock organisation and records
- Help improve how stock flows through the warehouse
- Support process improvements as the trade function grows
- Adapt to changing priorities and support the wider team
- Keep stock organised, accessible, and easy to manage
- Support efficient stock flow across all trade categories
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑run warehouse environment
- Transport and organise stock between key warehouse areas
- Sort and manage stock to support an efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement
- Follow all safety and warehouse procedures
- Work collaboratively to improve team performance
- Comfortable lifting and moving stock safely
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Flexible and able to switch between tasks and teams
- Proactive, reliable, and team‑focused
- Safety‑conscious with a positive attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Warehouse experience
- Familiarity with vintage or second‑hand stock categories
- FLT licence
- Driving licence (Category B or C1)
