Associate Civil Engineer Job Leesburg area,Virginia USA,Engineering

Pennoni is hiring for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Leesburg, VA area!

Primary Responsibilities

Perform site development and design work for assigned projects.
Prepare site design plans for client review and submission to various local jurisdictions.
Prepare site layouts, zoning plans, site gradings, stormwater management calculations, plan preparation, and reports for land development submission.
Work cross-functionally with various teams & disciplines.
Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
2+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land and/or Site Design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

FE / EIT.
Experience working on greenfield / land development projects.
Experience working with Storm Sewer Design, Sanitary Sewer Design, Waterline Layout, and Grading is strongly preferred.
Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools, is a plus!
Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, etc.); experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!
Proven ability to prepare a site plan package for submission to local jurisdiction(s) is a plus!
Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
