Position: Security Officer Armed -FT
As a  Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Specialist  in  Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Perform armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Screen entrants, personal property, and restricted items in accordance with site procedures, and report concerns or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support orderly movement of visitors and staff throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A valid armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
