Security Guard - Armed DCJS

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining assigned armed post duties.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns.
• Screen visitors, staff, and/or property in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Support access control, badge verification, and/or restricted area monitoring while following post orders and applicable government location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
