Job Overview
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior / Principal Radar Systems Engineer for a direct-hire role in Utah Valley, UT. The role supports the development, testing, and scaling of advanced radar systems and is critical to filling a capability gap and supporting significant production growth of radar units. The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands‑on radar systems expertise and will contribute immediately across verification, validation, and system‑level engineering efforts.
This is not a pure RF or software engineering role; candidates must have true radar systems experience, including signal processing and system‑level understanding.
- Lead radar system verification and validation efforts
- Build and execute test plans for radar systems
- Analyze radar data and evaluate system performance
- Develop and implement automation for data collection and analysis
- Identify system issues early and improve overall product quality
- Support ongoing refinement and enhancement of released radar products
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with algorithm, embedded, and mechanical teams
- Interface with hardware components including antennas and RF systems
- Drive system‑level improvements by challenging existing approaches
- Lead testing and system‑level initiatives, not just execution‑based tasks
- System design and architecture
- Requirements definition and interface development
- Technology direction and roadmap input
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience
- Radar systems experience (non‑negotiable)
- Experience across development, production, and real‑world use of radar systems
- Strong expertise in radar signal processing (top differentiator)
- Ability to perform radar data analysis and interpret system outputs
- Deep system‑level understanding of radar functionality (beyond component‑level knowledge)
- Ability to contribute immediately in a fast‑scaling environment
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Experience with radar algorithms and/or tracker development
- Background working with: antennas; RF systems; embedded systems
- Exposure to FMCW radar systems (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave)
- Experience working across multiple engineering domains (embedded, mechanical, algorithm teams)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
