We’re growing and looking for a skilled Wire Person. We are seeking a skilled Wire Person to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing high-quality harnesses, cable assemblies, box builds and test equipment, working from drawings to the required build standards within agreed time frames. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and accuracy in both prototype and small-scale production runs (typically no more than 3 of the same product).

What you’ll be doing
  • Building high-quality wiring harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Crimping, soldering, lacing and splicing to aerospace standards
  • Wiring cabinets, small enclosures and fixtures
  • Mechanical assembly of components and equipment
  • Working from engineering drawings, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams
  • Supporting prototype builds and collaborating with in-house engineers on technical solutions
  • Using a wide range of connectors including D38999, Molex, Harting, DIN
    41612, MAC Panel, VPC and more
  • Maintaining a tidy, organised workshop and following ESD and safety procedures
  • Occasional on-site customer support when required
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a similar wiring role (defence or aerospace experience is a big plus)
  • High-standard soldering skills (you’ll be asked to demonstrate these)
  • Knowledge of military and aerospace connectors (e.g. D38999, MIL-26482, ARINC)
  • Ability to work accurately on prototype and small-batch builds (typically up to 3 units)
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • PCB assembly experience (IPC Class
    3)
  • Work on interesting, varied projects not repetitive mass production
  • Be part of a skilled, supportive engineering team
  • Early finish Fridays
  • Salary £24,000 -£35,000 dependant on experience
