This position requires a C-36 licensed plumber.
SummaryEnvocore is seeking a licensed (C-36) Journeyman plumber who has completed an approved plumbing apprenticeship and is qualified to install, maintain, and repair domestic water distribution systems. This role includes reading blueprints, installing piping systems, connecting fixtures and equipment, testing systems, troubleshooting issues, ensuring code compliance, and working safely on residential, commercial, and institutional projects. The journeyman plumber typically works under the direction of a master plumber and is responsible for ensuring domestic water systems are installed correctly, perform as designed, and meet all applicable codes and standards.
The scope of work for this project is Water Meter Installations and Retrofits, 5/8” to 12”, Outdoor.
- Reports to site supervisor to receive day’s assignment.
- Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled plumbing tasks involving the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to install, modify, and repair domestic water piping systems, including copper, PEX, CPVC, PVC, and steel.
- Ability to install and connect fixtures, valves, water heaters, pumps, meters, backflow prev enters, and related plumbing equipment.
- Domestic Water System Installation:
Layout, rough-in, and finish installation of potable water systems for buildings. - Piping and Connections:
Cut, thread, solder, braze, crimp, and secure piping and fittings to ensure leak-free systems. - System Inspection and Testing:
Pressure testing, flushing, disinfecting, and verifying proper operation of domestic water systems. - Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose and repair leaks, pressure issues, flow problems, and component failures. - Reading Schematics and Blueprints:
Interpret plumbing, architectural, and mechanical drawings for domestic water installations. - Code Compliance:
Ensure all installations meet local plumbing codes, health regulations, and project specifications. - Operate maintenance equipment and a variety of power tools including pipe threaders, press tools, soldering/brazing equipment, drills, and lifts as required.
- Comply with the company’s personal hand tools requirements and ensure all tools are maintained in proper working order.
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks and staging materials as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, and working conditions.
