Monday–Friday + On-Call Rotation
We are seeking a reliable, self‑motivated Maintenance Technician to support operations at a large commercial property. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and thrives in a team‑oriented environment while also being able to work independently.
Responsibilities- Perform daily inspections of restroom plumbing, including sinks, drains, and toilets
- Monitor and maintain trash compactors; keep surrounding areas clean and organized
- Patrol buildings and common areas, identify maintenance issues, and report findings
- Coordinate repair needs and scheduling with management
- Collect and dispose of trash using a utility cart throughout the property
- Assist with commercial plumbing repairs and replacements
- Perform lighting maintenance, including LED retrofits and emergency/exit lighting replacement
- Support light electrical work as needed
- Assist with HVAC‑related tasks such as transporting and replacing filters
- Manage seasonal responsibilities, including:
- Setting out ice melt barrels in fall
- Removing barrels in spring
- Maintaining accurate inventory of ice melt supplies
- Check in daily with supervisor to review priorities and assignments
- Maintain a professional appearance and high standards of hygiene
- Work safely at all times and use appropriate PPE
- Provide excellent service and maintain positive interactions with tenants and clients
Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (approximately one week per month)
Qualifications- Experience in commercial maintenance preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Plumbing systems
- Lighting systems and retrofits
- Basic electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team‑oriented mindset with a flexible attitude
- Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Commitment to high‑quality, efficient work
- A dependable, high‑functioning utility technician
- Someone who takes pride in their work and ownership of responsibilities
