Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Lewiston, Maine, 04240!

Emergency Department RN

Location: Lewiston, ME

Start Date: 04-27-2026

End Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night); typical schedule 3x12 rotating (includes weekends)

Hours per Week: 36

Requirements
  • Assess and triage emergency patients rapidly and accurately to prioritize care
  • Administer IV therapy, medications, and blood products safely and in a timely manner
  • Provide emergency care including advanced cardiac life support interventions when needed
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, teaching, and patient responses thoroughly
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Respond to urgent and critical situations with composure and evidence-based practice
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in the required state
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1+ year of nursing experience required
  • At least 1 year of prior critical care or emergency nursing experience required
  • Clean licensure and background record; travelers with license/background actions will not be accepted
  • Must not be a previous employee of St. Mary's (per client requirement)
  • Comfortable working rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
