Job Title:
Depot Field Engineer
Our team is responsible for depot-level repairs, modifications, and refurbishments of critical avionic systems supporting Special Operations missions.
Responsibilities- Perform depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M‑TADS/PNVS).
- Repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance test of mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems.
- Operate automated or general‑purpose test equipment and use basic AC/DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics for fault isolation of defective components.
- Set up and operate conventional milling machine and drill press to rework or repair mechanical components.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify compliance with engineering specifications and tolerances.
- Complete work in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs).
- Document work in automated maintenance data collection systems per Apache Fire Control processes and procedures.
- Provide technical feedback on electro‑mechanical components to promote reliability improvements.
- Work with hazardous materials and chemicals, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Perform limited supply duties (load/unload trucks) and operate overhead hoists.
This position supports the United States Special Operations Command's largest service contract vehicle, delivering tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment solutions. You will work with cutting‑edge technology, contribute directly to mission success, and grow alongside a dedicated team of experts.

Security RequirementsMust be a U.S. citizen and hold a Secret clearance. Eligible for or able to obtain a Secret security clearance and a valid U.S. passport.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in repairs of electro‑mechanical assemblies and basic avionics.
- Ability to obtain a D.O.D. security clearance (Secret).
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
- Capability to support fielded M‑TADS or FCR systems at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Proficient with J STD 001 solder certification standards.
- Skilled in CCA component rework & repair, including BGA rework.
- Experienced with troubleshooting and fault isolation using general‑purpose and automated test equipment.
- Capable of interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, charts, and workbooks.
- Familiar with industrial standards, military specifications, and related processes.
- Knowledgeable in hazardous material handling, chemical mixing/weighting.
- Able to solder, repair, and assemble cables and harnesses.
- Operate and interpret results from oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and waveform generators for depot‑level diagnostics.
- Conduct fault isolation using said equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Provide on‑site technical, maintenance, and supply support for Apache D/E Model M TADS/PNVS and FCR systems.
- Deliver on‑the‑shoulder assistance, guidance, and oversight during preventive maintenance, fault isolation, and supply activities.
- Conduct technical training per contract SOW/PWS and present product briefings.
- Serve as the local on‑site representative ensuring seamless customer interaction.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lb and meet physical examination standards.
- Adapt to dynamic, customer requirements.
- Adhere to government property control policies and procedures.
4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
