• Friday 5 am–3 pm

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Utility Rover Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement.

• Patrol and monitor access points, perform walk and vehicle patrols.
• Verify identification, monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
• Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
• Perform routine security tasks (e.g., lock/unlock doors).
• Assist visitors and employees professionally.
• Enforce site‑specific orders and security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).

Minimum:

• Valid state security license or the ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record meeting company standards.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Weekend availability.
• Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 1+ year verifiable military, law enforcement or security experience.
• 2+ years verifiable customer service experience.

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break.
• Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping.
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Alabama Security Regulatory Board License (preferred).
• Ability to obtain any and all required security certifications/licenses.

This position reports to the Project Manager.

It is a part‑time position, 1st shift, 2nd shift and school hours.
