Shift Schedule- Monday 3 pm–1:30 am
- Friday 5 am–3 pm
Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Utility Rover Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement.
Responsibilities- Patrol and monitor access points, perform walk and vehicle patrols.
- Verify identification, monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
- Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
- Perform routine security tasks (e.g., lock/unlock doors).
- Assist visitors and employees professionally.
- Enforce site‑specific orders and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
Minimum:
- Valid state security license or the ability to obtain one.
- Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record meeting company standards.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to perform in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Weekend availability.
- Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- 1+ year verifiable military, law enforcement or security experience.
- 2+ years verifiable customer service experience.
- Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break.
- Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping.
- Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification Requirements- Alabama Security Regulatory Board License (preferred).
- Ability to obtain any and all required security certifications/licenses.
This position reports to the Project Manager.
It is a part‑time position, 1st shift, 2nd shift and school hours.
