Job Description & Requirements — American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lincoln, Illinois.

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a Critical Access Hospital setting (25-bed unit with a 30-bed unit and average daily census of 19).
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and 36 hours per week.
• Floating within skill level is required, including to affiliate hospitals nearby, for all travelers.
• Charting via Cerner.
• Patient population includes cardiac, neurological, endocrine/metabolic, renal, respiratory, and post-surgical (total joint replacement) cases.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration, feeding tube care, renal failure management, port access, blood product administration, central/PICC/peripheral line management, heparin protocols, vasoactive drip titration, CVA care, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions.
• Provide care for the specified shifts without on-call responsibilities; every other weekend required.
• Free parking with a permit obtained during orientation.

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required.
• MS/Tele and Telemetry experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
• SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• Community hospital experience preferred.

• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Schedule and time-off requests should be discussed with the manager; up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO may be approved without facility involvement.
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility.
• Grey scrubs required.
