The Title IX Coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership, coordination and oversight of the College’s compliance efforts with regard to policies and state and federal laws related to sexual discrimination and misconduct. Duties will include responding to, investigating, and resolving allegations in consultation with Nebraska State College System Office and providing training and educational programs to students and employees. The Coordinator will maintain the College’s Title IX website, ensure accuracy of Title IX and institutional data, and oversee compliance with required reporting under applicable state and federal laws.

May have occasional evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of Title IX compliance including complaints, reports of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence and related allegations of sexual misconduct.
  • Investigate and seek resolution to allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Create and implement investigation plans and maintain case files per best practices.
  • Act as liaison with Nebraska State College System’s Title IX System Director and other campus departments.
  • Provide educational programs for faculty, staff and students on discrimination, sexual harassment prevention, Title IX rights and responsibilities, consent, and reporting procedures.
  • Identify and address systemic problems and ensure Title IX policies are communicated to all constituencies.
  • Communicate with law enforcement and relevant administrators to handle reports and complaints appropriately.
  • Maintain the Title IX website and oversee compliance with required reporting.
  • Oversee the development and/or implementation of periodic campus climate surveys.
  • Serve on the CARE team and coordinate training for hearing panel chair/member/advisor designees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant working experience including investigations, prevention programming and education, regulatory, compliance, case management, or experience with related fields such as Student Affairs, Human Resources, Social Work, Crisis Intervention, and Counseling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, many of whom are first generation college students, and a wide variety of individuals including faculty, department heads, members of the campus community, and external constituencies.
License and Certification Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.

$61,741.00
