Job Summary

Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical systems and associated electrical equipment.

Essential Functions
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers’ installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears.
  • Manage the electrical permit process in the assigned area.
  • Build and maintain rapport with local city inspectors.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and ability to drive a company vehicle.

  • Ability to determine site installation needs/designs on the fly.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as an electrician, with extensive experience in both commercial and residential work preferred.
  • Current journeyman electrician license.
Job Classification

Field Operations:
Construction – Electrical (Exempt).

Work Environment and Hazards
  • Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind.
  • Proximity to heavy machinery and moving vehicles.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Working in elevated places.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently moving, transporting, and positioning objects of at least 60 pounds or more.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Climb rooftops of all types and perform duties from high places.
  • Pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical towers repeatedly.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, climb ladders and communication towers, and work in an elevated position.
  • Frequently required to use hand and power tools.
Working Hours / Days

Monday through Friday, minimum 40 hours, flexible hours. Overtime as needed.

Travel Requirements

40–60% travel required, including some out‑of‑state, with occasional overnight stays.
