POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support advanced RF payload and digital signal payload development initiatives across military space, missile defense, hypersonics, human space flight, interplanetary missions, and next-generation aerospace programs within a highly collaborative aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for supporting the full payload lifecycle including design, integration, initialization, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, verification, and mission execution activities supporting mission-critical space systems.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting digital signal payloads, RF payloads, and space-rated electronics development while leading cross-functional engineering efforts within highly advanced aerospace environments. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Support global security portfolios by conducting payload design, integration, and initialization activities on advanced digital signal payloads

• Support vendor development, internal design evaluation, testing, analysis, and integration efforts for mission-critical payload systems

• Lead systems engineering, calibration, verification, and troubleshooting activities across payload development life cycles

• Collaborate with leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to manage payload risks, opportunities, and technical studies

• Support product lifecycle activities including design reviews, troubleshooting, integration, testing, and operational initialization

• Lead cross-functional engineering coordination across payload development, software, analysis, integration, and test organizations

• Support payload performance analysis and execution of digital signal payload/subsystem test plans

• Review Statements of Work (SOWs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical data sheets, and supplier/factory compliance documentation

• Support environmental testing activities including stress, thermal, EMI/EMC, and related space qualification testing

• Execute payload and subsystem integration activities aligned with mission needs and CONOPS requirements

• Support calibration and initialization of digital signal payloads and associated subsystems

• Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful payload delivery and certification

• Participate in major engineering milestone reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and related lifecycle events

• Support specification development for digitally processed payloads and space-rated hardware systems

• Lead or support small technical teams across payload design and integration life cycles

• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, leadership, and cross-functional engineering teams supporting highly advanced aerospace programs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline

• Experience supporting space electronics and/or hardware design activities such as RF payloads and/or payload subsystems

• Experience supporting digital signal payload and hardware development activities including Ethernet, Space Wire, RS-422, LVDS, or related interfaces

• Experience supporting the design, development, and integration of space-rated flight hardware

• Experience conducting payload integration, initialization, calibration, verification, and troubleshooting activities

• Ability to support major engineering milestone reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR
