Being a valued member of the Mechanisms Engineering organization, your responsibilities may include some of the following:
- Work under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and/or systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery
- Develop and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings
- Be a member of integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers, and stakeholders, to support products through the entire engineering lifecycle
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and test personnel to support the build and validation of hardware in a production environment
- Occasional travel
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing GD&T , have good communication skills both oral and written , and understand fundamental Mechanical Engineering principles Ability to obtain a security clearance is required

* Basic Qualifications:
*
* - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline from an accredited school
- Experience with solid model and drawing creation using 3D computer aided design software, parts selection, and technical writing
- Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment using good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship is required

- Prior experience creating and managing technical documents
- Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility
** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits
** Schedule for this Position:
** 9x80 every other Friday off
** Pay Rate:
** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York excluding most major metropolitan areas , Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 $101,430 For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only Lockheed Martin considers factors such as but not limited to scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
