Location: Liverpool (Near the Airport)
Salary: 44,000 Per Annum + Overtime at 1.5 rate!
Hours: Days, Monday to Friday

Moorland Recruitment are working with a fast-paced manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This role would suit an engineer with experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment such as food, FMCG, plastics, paper, packaging, chemicals or general manufacturing
.
The company would ideally like an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer
, although they will also consider strong multi-skilled maintenance engineers with either an electrical or mechanical background.
- As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining production machinery, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
- This is a days-based role working Monday to Friday, offering a strong work-life balance compared with shift-based maintenance positions
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Working on motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and production machinery.
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Assisting with continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Working closely with production teams to improve machine performance.
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
- Completing maintenance records and reporting recurring faults.
- Supporting installation, commissioning and machinery improvement work where required.
- Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in food, FMCG, plastics, paper, packaging or similar fast-paced manufacturing would be highly suitable.
- Good fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
- Comfortable working in a production-focused environment.
- Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous. Level 3 minimum
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
