The Principal, Elementary directs the overall operations, services, and staff of an elementary school. This position provides leadership for instructional programs, supervises personnel, manages school operations and budgets, ensures compliance with district and state policies, and fosters a positive learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Chair school and district committees, including curriculum, safety, and advisory meetings.
- Delegate administrative responsibilities to staff to ensure efficient school operations.
- Develop budgets and financial forecasts related to staffing, equipment, and school programs.
- Evaluate assigned personnel to ensure high standards of performance and professional growth.
- Facilitate communication among staff, students, and parents to resolve issues and support student success.
- Implement district policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Manage school administrative functions, including facility operations, staffing, scheduling, and school improvement planning.
- Coordinate master schedules, testing schedules, and school activities.
- Prepare reports, newsletters, and communications to inform stakeholders of school activities and performance.
- Present information related to school programs and budgets to administrators and community groups.
- Promote positive school culture and community engagement, including PTO/PTA and PBIS initiatives.
- Supervise instructional personnel through observation, coaching, and professional development support.
- Support teachers with strategies and resources to address classroom management and behavioral concerns.
- Represent the school in community meetings and forums.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

ExperiencePrevious administrative experience preferred.
EducationMaster’s degree in a job‑related area with a current administrative endorsement in the State of Utah.

Certificates and LicensesState of Utah Teaching License with Administrative Certificate
Continuing Education / Training- District requires training annually
