Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.
Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Commercial Sourcing Manager. Reporting to our Head of Supply Chain, you will take ownership of cost analysis, commercial modelling and cost risk management across new technologies, development programmes and bids, while ensuring sourcing strategies are executable through the Production & Industrialisation Procurement Team.
* Key responsibilities:
** Develop supply chain strategies for new technologies and programmes, from bid and concept phase through development and early industrialisation
* Define sourcing models, supplier engagement approaches and industrial strategies aligned to programme objectives, certification plans and long‐term production intent
* Build and maintain should‐cost models covering development, certification, tooling, production ramp‐up and steady‐state production
* Define cost targets and cost trajectories aligned to programme milestones, volumes and industrial maturity
* Develop programme cost models, supply chain assumptions and affordability scenarios to support bid pricing and investment decisions
* Provide structured sourcing strategy outputs, including cost assumptions, risks and sensitivities, to the Production & Industrialisation Procurement team to support negotiation and execution
* Maintain an informed view of emerging technologies, suppliers and industrial capabilities relevant to Evolito’s product and technology roadmap
* Support early supplier engagement to assess capability, maturity, cost drivers and commercial viability
* Provide supply market insight and recommendations to Engineering and Programme teams during concept development and architecture definition.
* Skills and experience required:
** Qualified to CIPS Level 5 or equivalent; MCIPS desirable
* Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain or programme procurement within an aerospace, defence or similarly regulated engineering environment
* Proven experience supporting new technology or development programmes
* Demonstrated involvement in programme bids, commercial proposals or early‐stage development partnerships
* Good capability in should‐cost analysis and understanding of cost drivers
* Experience managing supply chain risk in certification‐driven or high‐integrity environments
* Ability to work effectively across engineering, programme and procurement teams
* Experience of working within a Tier 1 environment is preferred
* Strong analytical and commercial judgement
* Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
* Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
* A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
* Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
* A flexible approach to work
* UK driving license and ability to travel.
** Are you Evolito?
** We’re driven by a shared passion for engineering excellence and sustainable mobility. Our unique technology enables us to fast-track the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace.
By accelerating the growth of electric propulsion, we will help revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free electric air transportation.
As part of our growth, we are looking for passionate, talented people join the team and help transform the way we travel.
