Role description:

Arcadis’ UK Resilience - Water sector is seeking a Process Design Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to regional Resilience - Water Teams, providing optioneering, outline, and detailed design inputs for Frameworks across UK Water Companies and large-scale Design & Build projects with Contractor Partners. You will be involved in diverse and technically stimulating projects within treatment process engineering.

Role Accountabilities Work collaboratively with clients to understand project requirements.

Assist in the preparation of outline and detailed design drawings, as well as other construction-ready documentation.

Support the development of feasibility-level designs and optioneering assessments.

Contribute to the preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings, and other deliverables.

Work with contractors, the supply chain, and other project stakeholders to support project delivery.

Participate actively in project meetings and support the team in achieving project goals.

Qualifications & Experience Degree in Chemical Engineering or a suitable alternative qualification.

Working towards chartered membership of an appropriate professional body (IChemE or CIWEM) is advantageous.

Some technical design experience on multi-disciplinary projects, ideally within the water sector.

Awareness of Water Industry Clients and Contractors.

Enthusiasm and good communication skills.

Familiarity with BIM-led design and other process-specific digital tools.

Understanding of applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and Water Specifications.
