Investment Banking Analyst; Year 1 – Technology M&A

We are partnering with a leading global mid‑market investment bank to help hire a Year 1 Analyst into their Technology Investment Banking team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for a high‑potential junior to join a fast‑growing platform with a strong track record in tech M&A.

• Join a highly active Technology M&A team advising on sell‑side and buy‑side transactions
• Work closely with senior bankers on live deals from day one
• Gain exposure to entrepreneurs, private equity funds and strategic corporate buyers across Europe and the US
• Excellent training, steep learning curve and clear progression path within a meritocratic culture

• Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models, trading and transaction comps)
• Support preparation of marketing materials including teasers, information memoranda and management presentations
• Conduct industry and company research across software, internet, fintech and broader technology subsectors
• Assist with buyer / investor mapping, process management and deal execution work streams
• Contribute to valuation analyses, benchmarking and market updates for internal and client use

• 1 year of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, equity research or similar
• Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, STEM or related discipline
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills, high attention to detail and comfort working in Excel and Power Point
• Genuine interest in technology and the European tech ecosystem (software, internet, digital infrastructure, etc.)
• Highly motivated, willing to work in a demanding deal environment, with strong team orientation
• Fluent English required; an additional European language is a plus
