Data Scout at Hedge Fund - Directly Front Office

You're sitting right at the intersection of data engineering, the front office and the business, and every decision you make matters.

This is a global multi-asset investment fund manager focused on macro investing across interest rates, FX, equities and commodities. The whole trading business is supported by a research and technology division, which means data isn't an afterthought here. It's central to everything.

You're joining a new team, which means you're helping to shape something from the ground up. That's a rare thing at a fund of this size and ambition.

Your days will be spent identifying, evaluating and onboarding new data sources that can drive better investment decisions. You'll be talking to vendors, negotiating relationships, and working closely with stakeholders across the front office and the wider business to understand what they need and how data can deliver it. You're the person who connects the dots between what's commercially available and what the research and technology teams can actually use.

This is a relationship driven role, so you'll be spending a lot of time with people, both internally and externally. You'll need to be comfortable managing vendor relationships and navigating a fast paced, technology driven environment where things move quickly and priorities shift.

What you need to bring is a track record of managing stakeholder and vendor relationships in a data context within finance. This would be a great next step if you're ready to move a commercially focused version of that work.

Compensation is comprised of a base salary and a performance-based bonus - plus additional benefits such as health insurance.

The role is fully in office.
