We're looking for temporary Support Worker to be able to cover shifts that can varying from:
7am - 2:30pm, 2pm - 10pm, 9:15pm - 7:30 am (waking nights) or the late shift into a sleep in to 7:30am.
Or, 7am - 2:30pm, 2:30pm - 10pm, 9am - 4:30pm and sleep ins.
As part of support worker, you can also be asked to work weekends and bank holidays. Depending on the service needs and hours, shifts do vary with being either one to one support or sometimes two to one support.
You'll support a range of people and across multiple services. With needs varying from needing help with everyday tasks; cooking, cleaning and maintaining their finances, going out in the community, shopping, Drs appointments, some like to swim, go for long walks or have their own pets.
Others services could need support from manual handling; pushing a wheelchair, using a hoist, challenging and / or complex behaviour to personal care; prompting them with what to do or helping them with washing, dressing, cleaning teeth etc. Some also have medical needs that require help with administration of medication or for food to be prepared in a certain way.
Please be aware that some services can require for drivers and if needs be for you to use your own car.
We provide all training for the role both online and classroom based. To be on our support worker team it is mandatory to be compliant with all training to pick up a shift.
The temporary support worker pay rate starts from £9.00 – 12.00 per hour. Sleep in rate from £50.00 – 70.00.
As a Support Worker, your annual leave is accrued as you work, free trainings, pension and other benefits.
Working with Dita Consulting allows you to have a total control over the hours and shifts that you work, ranging from a few hours per week to block booking for few weeks or even months in advance.
Our registration process is very quick and tailored to needs of candidates.
To register, candidates must meet the following:
Proof of Right to Work in the UK
A minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK
2 references (minimum 3 years) including the current or most recent employer
National insurance number
DBS with update service or we can apply for a new one for you
Mandatory training certificates (we also provide mandatory training if required)
Full course of all immunisations, including Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB (to work in the NHS)
Dita Consulting have work in various Local Authorities, NHS and private hospitals, prisons, community settings, nursing and residential homes across the UK.
