Network Engineer

Excellent opportunity for Network Engineer to be part of our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. Cognizant Infrastructure Services – Provides IT infrastructure & Cloud services for clients across industry verticals, including both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, across Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, Dev Ops, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services and Environment Management Services.

Role require working from office 5 days a week at Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne.

• Responsible for core networking and Cisco switching
• Wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence
• Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP)
• AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more.
• Identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation

• Strong fundamentals in core networking and Cisco switching. Expert in Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), with deep AWS networking experience.
• Skilled in wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence.
• Solid foundation of core networking concepts.
• Proficiency in Cisco switching technologies. (Must)
• Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, both physical and virtual. (Must)
• Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
• Extensive experience in AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more. (Must)
• Strong understanding of wireless technologies, with hands‑on experience using Meraki products
• Excellent logical thinking and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve complex issues. (Must)
• Proficiency in identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead. (Must)
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
