General DescriptionKing’s College London is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position within the Centre for Engineering & Life Sciences (CEL) interface. This role is embedded in an interdisciplinary research environment that bridges engineering, physical sciences, and biomedical research to address complex challenges in human health and disease.
The successful candidate will contribute to innovative research projects focused on the development and application of advanced computational, engineering, and quantitative approaches to biological systems. The role involves close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, integrating experimental and computational methodologies to generate new insights into biological processes and disease mechanisms.

ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include designing and conducting high-quality research, developing analytical and computational pipelines, contributing to experimental design, and interpreting complex datasets. The post holder will also be expected to disseminate findings through peer‑reviewed publications, conference presentations, and collaborative engagements.
Eligibility Criteria- PhD in bioengineering, computational biology, biomedical engineering, physics, or a closely related discipline
- Evidence of high‑quality research output, such as peer‑reviewed publications
- Strong academic background in interdisciplinary research environments
- Experience in computational modelling, data analysis, or quantitative approaches in biological or biomedical research
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with relevant analytical tools
- Ability to design and implement research methodologies across disciplines
- Experience working with complex biological datasets
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
£42,405 – £49,785 per annum, including London weighting, depending on experience
