Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS) is actively seeking a Physician Assistant to join our growing organization. We are an outpatient private mental health group practice composed of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and therapists who are motivated to help our patients make positive changes in their lives.

At PNS, the priorities are the Psychiatrists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, and Patient Care Coordinators. We provide comprehensive, collaborative, and compassionate care as the foundation of our culture. The Physician Assistant will work a mix of office outpatient and telepsychiatry services, diagnosing, conducting assessments, prescribing medications, developing integrated healthcare treatment plans, and managing patients with proper evaluation and follow-up care.

• Plan, organize, and provide ongoing medication management and therapy for new and existing patients.
• Conduct initial in-person and tele‑medicine psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and monitoring visits.
• Renew and refill medication to avoid lapses in treatment.
• Educate patients on disease processes and preventative practices for managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide education, assistance, and support to family members and others involved with the patient to enhance awareness of mental and emotional illness and to increase their ability to contribute to the rehabilitation process.

• Must hold a current and valid license to practice in the State of California and hold an NPI.
• Must have full prescription authority and maintain current D.E.A. licensure.
• Prefer at least two years of experience in a behavioral health setting or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
