Quality Control Manager; Camshaft

Job Description

Musashi Auto Parts Canada Inc. is hiring for a Quality Control Manager. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Quality Control, the Quality Control Manager plans, organizes, and directs Quality Control Associates in all aspects of quality responsibilities.

• University degree in Engineering and/or Technical/Science and/or 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• IATF knowledge
• Knowledge of quality core tools (AIAG SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, FMEA – Design and Process, GD&T)
• Use of CMM program, test and evaluate quality using SPC and other quality methodologies
• Knowledge of measurement methods
• Good interpersonal communication skills

Support the needs of the department and customers through monitoring results tracked in the business plan:

• Reporting quality results
• Creating business plans that link into the company objectives and goals and communicating to all Quality Associates
• Monitoring customer and supplier scorecards
• Initiating improvements that support the business plan and effective countermeasures
• Investigating quality issues in all production areas of the plant & customer claims
• Coordinating with other departments when manufacturing new parts
• Upholding company policies and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction
• Performing related duties as required
  • Suppliers
    • Monitors suppliers & requests countermeasure/data to reduce nonconforming product received
  • Production
    • Supports Quality Associates to reduce rejects & claims in production
  • Quality System
    • Performs internal audits & maintains and improves the quality system
• Attending annual health and safety training including WHMIS and Lockout/Tag-out
