Overview

System One is in search of a Site Continuous Improvement Manager for a privately held company to join their team in Longview, TX. This position leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational and operational excellence objectives.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational and operational excellence objectives.

+ Partner with plant and operations leaders to identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans.

+ Facilitate improvement activities, including process reviews, improvement workshops, and hands-on improvement events focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

+ Coach leaders and frontline employees on continuous improvement principles, standard work, and structured problem-solving methods.

+ Support the development and maintenance of standardized processes, documentation, and work practices.

+ Analyze operational performance data and metrics to track progress and communicate results.

+ Identify opportunities for cost savings, productivity improvement, and process stability while ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.

+ Support change management efforts by promoting continuous improvement behaviors, employee engagement, and accountability.

+ Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related discipline.

+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations environments, including supporting or leading continuous improvement initiatives, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Experience supporting multi-site operations is preferred.

+ Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence principles.

+ Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams through collaboration and coaching.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data.

+ Understanding of operational performance metrics and process improvement methodologies.

+ Effective project management skills focusing on execution and sustainability.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.

+ Ability to support change initiatives and build credibility with leaders and frontline teams.

+ Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical improvement solutions.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

+ Frequent interaction with leaders, supervisors, and production employees.

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during manufacturing floor visits.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as required.

+ Ability to travel periodically to support operational improvement activities.
