Trinity Tank Car, Inc. is seeking a Senior Alternative Coatings specialist to work on interior lining of tank cars. The role involves responsibility for spraying, mixing and applying coatings and leading a small team, while maintaining records and ensuring safety practices.

• Line/coat interior surfaces of tank cars using airless spray equipment.
• Mix and apply cold set and phenolic lining materials.
• Apply all layers (prime, intermediate and top) with consistently defect‑free results.
• Lead and supervise a three‑member working unit of Interior Preppers and Interior Liners.
• Observe and enforce all standard safety practices.
• Maintain and complete all required records.

• Complete understanding of pre‑bake and final bake of forced‑cure linings, including equipment sizing.
• Ability to mix all lining materials and assess the effects of temperature and humidity.
• Proficiency in operating small power tools.
• Knowledge of proper preparation of tank cars for lining.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform emergency rescue operations.
• Must pass level 2 coatings certification test (normally acquired with 3 years’ experience).
• Previous experience in a similar coatings rig or rail car lining environment.
