Senior Alternative Coatings

Trinity Tank Car, Inc. is looking for a Senior Alternative Coatings in our Longview, TX location! Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. What you'll do:

• Line/coat interior surfaces of tank cars using airless spray equipment.

• Mix and apply cold set and phenolic materials.

• Apply all layers (prime, intermediate and top) with consistently defect free results.

• Employees at this level require no supervision and give direction to Interior Preppers and other

• Interior Liners by regularly performing as team leader of a three member working unit involved

• In preparing and lining cars.

• Observes all standard safety practices.

• Maintain and complete all required records.

Qualifications
What you'll need:

• Complete understanding of pre-bake and final bake of forced cure linings, equipment sizing (tip

• size, pump pressure, pump ratio, etc.).

• Ability to mix all lining materials and the effects of temperature and humidity.

• Ability to operate small power tools.

• Knowledge of proper preparation of tank cars for lining.

• Knowledge of and ability to perform emergency rescue operations.

• Must pass level 2 coatings certification test (normally acquired with 3 years' experience).
