Commercial Front Load Garbage Route Driver- Longview, WA

Waste Control, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety-conscious Commercial Front Load Driver (Class A or

B) to join the team in Longview, Washington. The shift is Monday–Friday 4:00 am–2:00 pm and the starting wage is $28.00 per hour.

• Safely operate a Front Load Garbage Truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
• Read route sheets or use the Driver Route Tablet to service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Handle a physically demanding job, loading and unloading without helpers when necessary.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Provide courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Extensive physical activity with strenuous work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
• Exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts; requires following basic safety precautions.
• Exposure to outside weather, including frequent wet or humid conditions, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise levels.

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
