Position Summary
Northern New Mexico Integrated Security, located in northern New Mexico, provides a professional, highly trained protective force that safely secures special nuclear material, people and other critical assets for the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Northern New Mexico Integrated Security is a subsidiary of Constellis.
Responsibilities- Conduct performance tests as required, including LANL Integrated Testing, N2
MIS Alarm Response and Assessment Performance Tests, Limited Scope Performance Tests, and No‑notice performance tests. - Evaluate the validity and sufficiency of site plans to address threats and provide recommendations for change.
- Evaluate the quality and adequacy of training and supervision for Protective Force personnel, recommending improvements as needed.
- Ensure performance test safety plans include personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Support Force‑on‑Force activities by providing exercise briefings, coordinating exercises with facility personnel and other LANL personnel.
- Assist in developing exercise scenarios, Force‑on‑Force activity plans, Hazard Identification Mitigation Plans, and safety plans or other assignments intended to support safe conduct of activities.
- Update and review test plans, procedures, and departmental manuals for accuracy and currency with federal and state laws, orders, guides, and manuals.
- Ensure work complies with Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) core functions and guiding principles.
- Work is performed onsite; the position is not remote.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of DOE Protective Force Operations or military/law‑enforcement evaluator/observer controller experience.
- Active DOE Q‑level clearance; US citizenship required.
- DOE Human Reliability Program (HRP) certification.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license.
- Three (3) years of experience in security or exercise planning through the armed forces, government agency, or contractor employment, with special emphasis on oversight assessment.
