YUKEVICH l CAVANAUGH is seeking an Accounting Clerk with strong organizational skills to provide high level support in a fast-paced environment. This role is located in our Los Angeles office and is not a hybrid position.
About the RoleThe accounting clerk is responsible for maintaining the flow of client costs by entering daily invoices from outside experts and vendors. Prior knowledge of Pro Law is preferred, which is the firm’s billing software and accounts payable experience is a must. The job duties include ensuring all data is entered accurately.
Responsibilities- Data Entry:
The accounting clerk’s primary job duties include ensuring all data is entered accurately into Pro Law billing system. This includes posting invoices, setting up vendors in the billing system. The clerk will process daily check requests, print checks and mail out payments. - Client contact:
The accounting clerk will be required to contact insurance company adjusters to process pass through payments, check on payment status of pass throughs, etc. - Monthly Billing:
The accounting clerk will assist the billing manager by stapling statements and assisting in processing edits made to the monthly statements. - Compliance:
Adhering to accounting regulations and company policies. - Confidentiality:
Maintain the confidentiality of all Firm financial and client matters.
- Minimum one to three years of accounting experience in a mid-sized law firm.
- Experience with Pro Law is preferred.
- Basic typing skills (at least 40 wpm).
- Extensive knowledge with accounting software – Pro Law, Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
- Efficiently managing paperwork and maintaining electronic filing systems.
- Excellent oral, organization, and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with other departments and clearly provide requested financial information; must have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work within established deadlines.
- Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
- Must be very organized.
- Ability to manage time and priorities in a deadline-driven, fast paced department.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, including knowing when to elevate issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask.
- Technology savvy and willing to learn new systems.
- Highly responsive and able to work on evenings and weekends when needed to support the department and the Firm’s needs.

Bachelor’s Degree
The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a year-end discretionary bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00

This role is Non-Exempt and will report to the Administrator with a dotted line to the Executive Director; works an 8 hour day or 40 hour work week.
